Where are you from/where did you grow up?
I am originally from Haiti but grew up in crown heights. We came here for a better life and I’m so happy we settled in Brooklyn.
Why did you start your business?
I was going through a divorce and I wanted to find a way to be available for my daughter, and also provide for us. At the age of 40 I decided to give it a go, not just for myself but to teach my Daughter that with with faith and hard work, anything is possible at any stage in life.
How does your work connect to Brooklyn?
I came to New York at age six from Haiti and grew up in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Brooklyn is my heart. The large Caribbean community makes me feel at home. We have Hosted tea-tasting events, pop-up shops in Brooklyn. Engaging with the local community through events is important to me.
