Where are you from/where did you grow up?
I am from Queens, New York but my business was born and raised in Willamsburg, Brooklyn. Our studio is now in Hoboken while I am between NYC and London.
Why did you start your business?
I have had my business for 15 years now and began wanting to make unusual items you couldn't find anywhere else. Nameplates have always been a big part of my life as I grew up in NYC and I wanted to have a fun and new version of them. After making a few designs it snowballed into over 400!
How does your business connect to Brooklyn?
Most of my design inspiration comes from living in Brooklyn - everything from the people to the food to the overheard conversations on the street spark new design ideas.
