Where are you from/where did you grow up?
I am the first American born in my family! My parents are from the Netherlands and I grew up in Washington DC. I've lived in South Park slope for 16 years and recently moved to Windsor Terrace. I've always wanted to live in NYC and after finishing grad school in classical acting I moved to NYC as an actress of classical theater.
Why did you start your business?
I like to say I started my business on a couple of post-it notes. It truly was my hobby that turned into a business. I started at flea markets and craft fairs after people kept asking me to make them what I made myself, and slowly continued to grow and am now selling in museum gift shops around the country, many of the outdoor holiday markets and even had a brick and mortar store in Grand Central Terminal before the pandemic.
