Where are you from/where did you grow up?

Grafton, MA! I came to Clinton Hill in 2006 at the age of 18 to attend Pratt Institute- I absolutely fell in love with the neighborhood and still live in Clinton Hill 17 years later!

Why did you start your business?

My business started on accident! I started my career by dressing pop star Katy Perry during my Junior year at Pratt after cold-emailing her manager over MySpace! From there, Katy blogged about me, sending thousands of people to my website, and hundreds of custom costume requests to my inbox! I started my business in my dorm room in 2008 and never looked back!

How does your business connect to Brooklyn?

15 years later, everything that we create is designed, manufactured & shipped out of our Gowanus, Brooklyn studio! My business was born and raised in Brooklyn!
