Cory Lee
Where are you from/where did you grow up?
Cory Lee is a native of East New York, Brooklyn and is an enthusiast of the Borough’s Music art and culture.
Why did you start your business?
IIn 2017 he launched Brooklyn Music Week and promoted the festival with t-shirts of the local neighborhoods. This formed the foundation of what would become the Skool Milk clothing line. He describes the pandemic as the turning point, which forced him to pivot from the festival’s live events to focus solely on selling clothing, primarily as a vendor at Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza.
How does your work connect to Brooklyn?
In 2021 he opened the first Skool Milk store nearby at 153 E 4th Street in Kensington, Brooklyn.
