Meet the Maker

Where are you from/where did you grow up?

I am originally from Washington, DC and moved to

New York for college in 1999. Since then, I've lived in Florence, Italy and San Francisco, returning to NYC in 2009. When I lived away from New York, I always knew I would return here to start a family and business.

Why did you start your business?

I have always been an artist, and as soon as I moved away from home I became determined to find a way to make art for a living. My business is a reflection of both my love for creating art and my love for NYC.

How does your work connect to Brooklyn?

My work is inspired by the city around me. I started selling my wares at the Brooklyn Flea, and have since sold around the city and in stores across the country.

The bodega cat measures about 18" tall and 10.5" across the bottom, is digitally printed with my illustration on a cotton-linen blend on the front, and solid grey color linen fabric on the back.

Handmade with care in NYC. Hand wash with cold water or spot clean.
