Where are you from/where did you grow up?
I was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. My parent immigrated to Brooklyn in the 1960’s and my siblings and I followed in 1973. I grew up in East Flatbush.
Why did you start your business?
We started Yoto and Claire in 2017, making body butters and hair creams for personal use. We incorporated in 2019 and our story continues.
How does your work connect to Brooklyn?
Our first pop up was in Brooklyn. Our consumer base is in Brooklyn.
