Coney Island Baby by Larry Racioppo

This 120 page softcover book, consists of 112 black&white and color photographs documenting the fall and rise of Coney Island’s historic amusement area from the 1970’s to the present. Essays by Kevin Baker (Dreamland author) and Dick Zigun (founder of Coney Island USA) accompany Larry’s photographs and personal notes.

A Brooklyn native, Larry Racioppo has photographed the borough over the course of several decades. He has documented many of its communities and carefully recorded their ups and downs. Many of his Coney Island photographs provide vibrant historical record of the years just before the recent resurgence "America's Playground." A must see for any Coney enthusiast.
