Where are you from/where did you grow up?
I am originally from Washington, DC and moved to
New York for college in 1999. Since then, I've lived in Florence, Italy and San Francisco, returning to NYC in 2009. When I lived away from New York, I always knew I would return here to start a family and business.
Why did you start your business?
I have always been an artist, and as soon as I moved away from home I became determined to find a way to make art for a living. My business is a reflection of both my love for creating art and my love for NYC.
How does your work connect to Brooklyn?
My work is inspired by the city around me. I started selling my wares at the Brooklyn Flea, and have since sold around the city and in stores across the country.
