Where are you from/where did you grow up?
I grew up in northern New Jersey and moved to Brooklyn in 2012, starting out in Brooklyn Heights and moving to Park Slope in 2020.
Why did you start your business?
I started The Brooklyn Teacup after seeing an eco-friendly opportunity to give vintage china heirlooms new relevance and purpose in everyday, modern life.
How does your business connect to Brooklyn?
The Brooklyn Teacup was born in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, on the the night I discovered a discarded china set on the curb; Today, we make all of our unique pieces from our Park Slope, Brooklyn studio where customers can also come visit to upcycle their own china and/or create bespoke decor from our inventory. Our love for Brooklyn emanates from all aspects of The Brooklyn Teacup, from the local brands we collaborate with to our custom packaging.
