Where are you from/where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in The Bronx til I was a tween, then moved to Paterson, NY. I ended up in Bed-Stuy 15 years ago with my partner of 17 years.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business because I felt there was a need for natural pain relief that helps the body. Seven years ago, I was stricken with a rare autoimmune syndrome called Guillaine Barré. It left me feeling fatigued, I had painful muscle spasms, numbness, pins and needles, and burning nerve pain. A friend suggested I try magnesium oil. I tried it and it really helped calm my painful muscle spasms. I decided to package the cream and sell it because, if it helped me , it can help others with chronic pain.

How does your work connect to Brooklyn?

My business has been at my studio in Bed-Stuy for 7 years.
