Where are you from/where did you grow up?
Nate grew up in Chicago and came to Brooklyn after attending college upstate because he loves big city life.
Why did you start your business?
We make each and every chocolate bar from scratch in our factory in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We also welcome the community to our factory retail shop and our classrooms where we host bean-to-bar chocolate making classes, coffee & chocolate pairings, and truffle making classes. We love chocolate and Brooklyn <3
How does your work connect to Brooklyn?
We wanted to share the fruity, tangy, uncommon flavors of unroasted cacao with the world through chocolate. We also wanted to change the cacao supply chain and offer something better for the world and the planet using our Transparent Trade sourcing model.

This spiced hot chocolate blends transparently-traded, single origin cacao powder and unroasted dark chocolate made with Dominican cacao from Zorzal Cacao, with ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg for a seasonal holiday hot cocoa that smells like ginger cookies fresh out of the oven. The perfect winter treat. Each bag contains 5oz of hot chocolate.
